Frozen market, moving project

04 · California Rail

Another civil package hits the market

California High-Speed Rail has issued an RFQ for a collaborative design-build contract covering the Merced to Madera segment. The scope includes grading, structures and roadway improvements across a 34-mile section, with a shortlist expected by the end of 2026. The delivery model matters because California is trying to bring more rhythm to a programme where cost growth has become part of the story.

Underground station work gets real in Gothenburg

In plain English: the client is buying coordination in a dense city, not just concrete underground.
