The
runway is not the real project
A Bechtel
assessment has reportedly questioned whether Heathrow can deliver its
proposed third runway by 2035. The runway itself is only part of the
job. Rivers, roads, rail systems, utilities, and part of the M25 would
all need to be moved or reconfigured before the main asset can progress
at pace.

02 · Fehmarnbelt Tunnel
One
element down. Eighty-eight to go.
The first of 89
precast tunnel elements has been immersed beneath the Baltic, marking a
major technical milestone for the 18 km road and rail link between
Denmark and Germany. The operation took around 14 hours. But the wider
programme is still reported to be at least two years behind its
original 2029 target.

03 · AI Permitting
The
